A very quick post this time… just a few of my favourites from last weekend’s trip to Gurston Down. See here for the full gallery.

Just one day at the Festival of Speed for me this year, but I still came away with a respectable number of shots. The full gallery is available here, but here’s a selection of my favourites from the two wheeled runners;
It’s a bank holiday weekend and my first of what should be two outings with the camera is to Gurston Down for a morning of practice on the hillclimb course. As per most venues at the moment, this is one that I haven’t been to in a long while (nearly 3 years I think). Nothing seems to have changed, other than that they’ve cut the grass for once. No sunburn to report today, but feeling quite raw from the gale blowing at the top of the hill.
A selection of my favourites follow (click for a bigger image), with the rest in the gallery here;
I was getting quite concerned by Thursday that this was going to turn out to be a complete washout. But would you believe it, it stayed dry pretty much all day.
I arrived early, before the gates were opened so I could make the most of my only day there this year. The crowds aren’t so bad on the Friday so I managed to find plenty of space to shoot. The organisers do seem to have taken away some of the angles that I’d used in previous years though, thanks to some over use of hay bales and moving the ‘safety string’ back a few feet further.
Here’s a selection of my favourites. Apologies for the lack of variety in shooting position!
